This sort of music is all I listened to as a teenager. It's funny you mention BMTH because they stand out as one of the few that are still relevant to me. I stopped listening to deathcore/metal and took a sudden turn toward pop for reasons I might write about later.. Anyway, I landed on electronic music and then started looking back at bands I used to listen to. Somehow BMTH had gone sort of Christian and definitely electronic. It followed my own life path. But you don't like to mention them. It's like we all see meaning in different facets of the genre according to the identities we have grown into. People like you and me all have this grounding in the same musical interests, but now we can argue and debate about various aspects of it.
