My Take on Climate Change

Apparently, scientists are divided on this.

Some say that the climate is changing, and some say it is not. If you watch television news channels, you probably believe that at very least the weather lately has been… bizarre.

My parents tell me that when they were young, they had snowfalls that reached the edges of the roof. An older gentleman I work with told me that the Bible says humans will never affect the climate. We do produce a lot of greenhouse gases now, but how do we know that climate change is the result of that?

The climate has changed before. There are different cycles that the earth goes through. Read these articles on El Niño & El Niña. And I specifically remember one winter about four years ago that was extremely cold. It’s not what you would expect from a warming planet. I believe scientists are still learning about all the (very) long-term cycles that happen in our planet’s lifespan.

The stance I take is one of half belief and half disbelief. I react to climate change as if it may be true though probably not. Or at least, it’s not something I can solve on my own.

A lot of money is at stake in the industry of cleaning up the planet. Huge corporations like Walmart have taken measures by investing in work toward our planet’s maintenance. Hell, nations around the globe are even coming together and making a plan to fight it. If you are worried about climate change, I recommend that you get some perspective on the issue…
